
Springtime hiking loop at Ernest Debs Park

My absolute favorite hiking trail is not flashy and is slightly off the beaten path, just off the side of the paved fire road. It's the Ernest Debs park in Montecito Heights. Springtime is the best time to visit (other than the Fall when there's a cool breeze and it smells of luscious pinecones).
In the Spring, the path explodes with beautiful (albeit invasive) yellow mustard flowers. I take this advanced beginner 1 hr loop along this path.

Note the first 10 mins are accessible by car up to the parking lot.
